Benjamin Shea Hanscom joined the staff at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes in July, 2007. He grew up in Ellsworth, Maine until his mother remarried a paper maker and they moved to Millinocket. Ben spent summers in Ellsworth close to his family. He graduated in the class of 1994 from Stearns High School in Millinocket. In 1997 he graduated from Mt. Ida College with an Associate Degree in Science, and in 2007 from Walden University with a Bachelors degree in Business Administration. Ben has been in the funeral industry since 1995, becoming a Licensed Funeral Director in 2000. His long-time personal dream of returning to his ancestors homestead on Reeds Brook in Ellsworth was fulfilled in 2008 with the purchase of a home where he resides with his wife, Betsy and son, Ethan. Ben enjoys many outdoor hobbies, is passionate about hunting and fishing, enjoys many sports and especially cherishes his time with his family. He is a member of the Woodbine Cemetery Association in Ellsworth, the MFDA and the NFDA.

Wendy Seekins joined the staff at Bragdon-Kelley Funeral Homes in September of 2009. She grew up in Belfast, Maine and graduated in the class of 1991 from Belfast Area High School in Belfast. Wendy is a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Mortuary Science with a Diploma of Funeral Directing and Embalming. She has been in the funeral industry in one capacity or another since she was 15 years old and a licensed funeral director since 2008. Wendy began her career in a coastal Maine funeral home that was owned and operated by her friends. Wendy currently resides in Winterport with her husband, Ben and their two daughters, Hillary and Katie. She enjoys traveling, sports, kayaking, cooking, hiking and venturing with her family to all of the girls sporting events.
